Singing, Songwriting and Popular Music Theory lessons for adults and young people.
Brighton Pop School is run by Karen Lee (BA Hons Music, PGCE) a fully qualified, private music teacher based in the BN3 area of Brighton and Hove. Karen offers individual or paired lessons of 60 minutes in the learner's home. Students can choose whether to sing for pleasure or study for Grade exams with the London College of Music Examinations Board.
Karen is a degree-level singer, who has sung with many bands and worked with dance music producers for over fifteen years.
Trained in both classical music and popular music technology, Karen also records and produces her own songs and original compositions.
Karen has a great relationship with her students, using their own taste in music to motivate learning and sustain genuine enthusiasm. She is a member of the General Teaching Council for England, and has been fully CRB checked. She specialises in teaching singing, songwriting (with music production and technology skills) and popular music theory.
Brighton Singing and Pop School caters for all types of learner, including:
- Young people working towards GCSE or 'A'/'AS' level Music who are using singing (voice) as their performance instrument.
- Adult learners who wish to sing or write songs for pleasure.
- Beginners who wish to achieve a solid foundation in vocal technique and make real progress.
- More experienced singers who want to take their singing to the next level.
- Students who intend to study Musical Theatre or Music at university or theatre school.
- Children who have the 'X' factor and want to hone their skills and see real, lasting progress.
- Young people working towards GCSE or 'A'/'AS' level Music who wish to compose and produce amazing music tracks to submit for the composition element of their exams.
